1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the TiCi Nature Academy website (https://ticinatureacademy.org), our workshop registration portal, and your enrolment in any course or workshop offered by TiCi Nature Academy, a division of TiCi NatureLab ("we", "us", "our", "the Academy"). By browsing our Website, submitting an enquiry, or registering for a course or workshop, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you are registering on behalf of a minor, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian and that you accept these Terms on their behalf.

2. Courses and Workshops

We offer online courses (such as the Freshwater Aquascaping Course), longer-format programs (such as the Aquatic Ecosystem Expert program), and in-person paid workshops (such as our Paludarium Workshop) of varying duration (typically 1 to 3 days), conducted at our premises in Howrah, West Bengal or online, as specified for each program.

Course/workshop content, curriculum, schedule, faculty, and pricing are as described on our Website or registration portal at the time of enrolment, and may be updated from time to time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered participants of any material change to a program they have already paid for.

3. Registration and Enrolment

• Registration for a paid workshop or course is confirmed only after successful payment of the applicable fee, as indicated on our registration portal.
• Seats for in-person workshops are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Submitting an enquiry or registration form does not guarantee a seat until payment is confirmed.
• You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information (name, contact details, city, profession, etc.) at the time of registration. We are not responsible for any issue arising from incorrect information provided by you.

4. Fees and Payment

• All course and workshop fees are displayed in Indian Rupees (₹) and are payable through the payment methods made available on our registration portal.
• Fees are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated, and exclusive of your own travel, accommodation, or incidental expenses associated with attending an in-person workshop.
• Where a workshop description mentions that a take-home item (e.g. a paludarium) is separately chargeable or available at a discount to participants, that item's cost is in addition to the workshop fee unless explicitly stated to be included.
• Payment is processed through a third-party payment gateway. We do not store your complete card, UPI, or net-banking credentials.

4a. Refunds and Cancellations

Our refund, rescheduling, and cancellation terms are set out in our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please review it before making a payment.

5. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to:

• Attend sessions on time and follow the guidance of our faculty and staff for their own safety and that of others, particularly during hands-on, hardscape, or aquatic-material handling activities
• Treat faculty, staff, and fellow participants with courtesy and respect
• Not engage in any conduct that is unsafe, disruptive, or damaging to Academy property or materials

We reserve the right to remove a participant from a workshop or course, without a refund, in cases of serious misconduct, safety violations, or damage to property, at our reasonable discretion.

6. Health, Safety, and Liability

• Certain workshops involve handling water, glass, hardscape materials, tools, electrical equipment, or live plants/organisms. Participants take part at their own risk and should inform us in advance of any relevant allergy, medical condition, or physical limitation.
• We take reasonable safety precautions, but we are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from a participant's failure to follow safety instructions, or from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
• To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our liability in connection with any course or workshop is limited to the fee paid by the participant for that specific course or workshop.

7. Intellectual Property

All course materials, curriculum, presentations, videos, images, and content provided during our courses and workshops, as well as the content of our Website, are the intellectual property of TiCi Nature Academy / TiCi NatureLab (or used under licence) and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.

8. Photography and Media

We may photograph or record workshops and courses for promotional purposes (including our Website, gallery, and social media). By attending, you consent to such use unless you inform us in writing, prior to the session, that you do not wish to be photographed or recorded.

9. Website Use

You agree to use our Website only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with its normal operation, attempt unauthorised access to any part of it, or use any content from it in a way that infringes our intellectual property rights.

10. Changes to Programs and Terms

We reserve the right to reschedule, modify, or cancel a course or workshop due to insufficient enrolment, faculty unavailability, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including but not limited to natural events, government restrictions, or venue unavailability). In such cases, our Refund & Cancellation Policy will apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date, and continued use of our Website or enrolment in a program after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, our Website, or any course or workshop shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Howrah, West Bengal.
